The WHO founded World AIDS Day on December 1 in 1988 to promote information sharing between local and national authorities. This day is an opportunity for public and private partners to spread awareness about the status of the HIV epidemic and encourage progress in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care around the world.

Injectable PrEP is administered every two months and has proven to protect against HIV as much as oral PrEP. Patient’s that have difficulty adhering to daily pills will greatly benefit from this alternative option.
