SFV LGBTQ Pride Musical Festival + Health Fair
The SFV LGBTQ Center will have plenty of resources for the community and also so many amazing food vendors. Additionally they will also have a food competition where you can win $100 in gift cards. We are super excited for everyone to also join us on September 10 where we will have our pride parade which will go from the city of San Fernando at City Hall to Facey medical Plaza in Mission Hills.

CSUN Justice & Wellness Fair
The CSUN Justice & Wellness fair was a success. We met with lots of great community organizations who were in awe of our work and will be utilizing us as a resource for their clients, patients, students, etc. I ran into a familiar face who was Daniel from Somos Familia Valle who hosted the 2022 SFV Pride event we attended last year. They are excited to have us again and will forward us details as soon as they are available.
Additionally, we met with another community organizer from Reclaim Our Schools – Los Angeles and are hosting an upcoming event on 04/29/2023 in Sun Valley for students called Dia de la Niñez. They are heavy on the importance of having a safe space to talk about sexual wellness in a confidential environment and want us at their event as a resource.
Last but certainly not least, members of the community flooded us with countless compliments on how awesome our booth looked with our new backdrop and the set-up as a whole.

LaVida Care attended the 2nd Annual LGBTQ+ Health Fair hosted by Facey Medical Group and the San Fernando LGBT Center. We were among one of the many resources showing up for the community.

DTLA Proud is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that strengthens and empowers the local LGBTQ+ & ally community in Downtown Los Angeles through visibility, volunteerism, partnerships and events.

SFV LGBTQ Pride Car Parade
The SFV LGBTQ Center invites you to join their annual car parade. Over 200 cars are expected to participate! Come show off your pride and celebrate, as the month of June comes to an end. The car parade will travel from Van Nuys City Hall to Facey Medical Group in Mission Hills.
Valley Pride
The 7th Annual Valley Pride Festival celebrates family love and acceptance of the LGBTQIA+ community in the San Fernando Valley.
Presented by Los Angeles City Council President and 6th District Councilwoman Nury Martinez, with support from the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, enjoy music, art, speakers, food trucks, and a community resource fair.
Hosted by Carmit Bachar of The Pussycat Dolls, with DJ Vick Jagger, live music from Kentö, and more. Enjoy drag performances by House of Discoteca and Them Fatale Drag Kings, contributions from DC Comics illustrator Cat Staggs and comic book and television writer Amanda Deibert, artist Adee Roberson, and dancer Ryan Ruiz. The legendary MC Enyce Smith and friends will offer up a taste of vogue and ballroom culture. With more surprises to be announced, this all-ages, family-friendly event will inspire and inform.
San Fernando Valley Pride
SFCHC’s HIV prevention program, LaVidaCare, is thrilled and honored to be participating in our city’s San Fernando Valley Pride: Empowering LGBTQIA+ Spaces event. This event is brought to you by Somos Familia Valle and The Social Impact Center. With over 25 resource booths from organizations all across the San Fernando Valley, LaVidaCare will be distributing free condoms, HIV Rapid Test Tickets* and FREE in-home HIV tests. In-home tests provide the opportunity to know HIV status in the comfort of home. LaVidaCare's mission is to build a community and raise awareness that these services are easy, accessible, essential, and available right in here in SFV. Come out and support the LaVidaCare booth and enjoy great food from local vendors!
